«Poshtomat» is a physical theatre piece about people for whom letters have become the last hope of connection with what matters most.
Six characters arrive at a post office. Each one is waiting for an answer. Someone receives a letter and can move on. Someone receives nothing, yet must go on living all the same.
The post office becomes a place where strangers suddenly sense that they are not left alone with their pain.
The piece explores themes of hope, support, mutual care, and lost opportunities. However unique each story may be, they are all united by one thing: the post office becomes the only bridge between the characters and the people closest to them.
This is a piece about the quiet force that brings people together and gives them hope. Six characters. Countless letters. One Poshtomat.
